I bought a Mallory Cap, Rotor and Coil, and MSD Super Conductor 8.5mm wires. the coil wire has a different boot that goes onto the coil. it doesnt snap and lock on like the rest of the wires. so i was wondering if i were to get a different coil wire that will fit and snap on the coil if it will work with the rest of the MSD wires conducting correctly. i was looking at this wire here. i think its only an 8mm rather than the 8.5 i have ready to go.

Heres the Pic of the wire. the boot on the left is the one im talking about. i was looking at it and was wondering if you put it on and then pinch the wings to make it stay on?

 

you could cut that end off and crimp the right one on, just a thought

 

yea, i ordered a boot like the one on the right and im just gonna cut the one side off and put the new boot on.
