Default Converting in tank fuel pump

I have a 2007 Silverado 2500HD. I want to convert the fuel pump outside of tank due to filter in module plugging up. Tired of replacing entire module due to a fuel filter.

You can put an external electric fuel pump, however if you are experiencing "clogged" filters, you be better off correcting that problem.

I am trying to remedy the rust problem in my filter. I farm and gas is pumped from tanks. I am trying to get rid of all the tanks that have rusted inside. I have converted my 2002 to an outside pump but the problem with the 2007 is the pressure regulator is also inside the module. This model does not have the return line going into the tank. I was just wondering if anyone had converted these type units. Thanks for the replies. Robert

Until you can resolve the external tank issues. I'd suggest a mesh/cloth filter you can make one, put it in your trucks tank fill before you fill it up.

There are filters that can be put on your supply tanks to keep the trash out of your gas tank.Talk to your fuel supplier.
