Default cracked dash

Ok both my silverados have cracked in the exact same place. The first one was under warranty so no problems there. My current one is out of warranty and just cracked. Between the passenger airbag and defrost trim panel (approx 2 inch long crack). It's an LTZ so it is one huge assembly. Dealer quoted $500 for the new assembly. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this. The crack is close together but I am trying to figure out how I can hold the two pieces level and together while the glue dries!! Thinking of using traditional crazy glue as all those specialty glues never seem to hold.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance

Eric

I honestly don't have a fix. But what I've noticed in all the trucks I've seen with a cracked dash is that it happens in the same spot. Right under the spot has no support so it can sag and bounce. Might want to think of a way to support it some or I just see it happenin again
