Question Curious: What is it for...?

Hi,

I was inspecting under my 2 months old 2008 Silverado and noticed a small square box/housing next to the Transmission: it's plastic, rectabgle and open with sponge inside. I first thought it was loosen. This box/housin is attached to a plastic tube running all the way back to a small part mounted next to the fuel tank. My curiosity is: what is this for...?

It is the port where the CIA can attach a device to your vehicle that will track your every move.

They dont have to hook anything up to it. Vapors come out that they can track.

Can the "Fuel Vapor Purge Canister" be damaged if you fill the gas tank full, but I mean really full...?

See this thread which might be linked to above question (???): https://chevroletforum.com/forum/sil...t-drive-45822/
