Default cuts out

my 86 chevy 3/4 ton pickjup has been sitting for over year, it was given to me and i drove it to my house and it ran great, i was doing work to it to get it road ready and started about three times a week for about three months, i registered it2 days ago. when i put a load on it, it cuts out for not even a second, just a quick pop kinda sound but not a pop..... dirty carb? needs to be driven more? any help would be great thanks

dirty carb, might me moisture in the rotor cap aswell.

Gas starts to go bad in 6 weeks, sounds like its had over a year to go bad, put carb cleaner in gas, put hi octane gas in.

after you've tried the above ideas, if they don't solve the problem, have the ignition module under the distributor cap checked. I have had them go bad and work when they want to []
