04 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 with 6.0L(364)LQ4 engine, 4L80E transmission and standard 16" E Radial Tires-Has anyone else changed from the factory 410 differential gears to 342 gears?

3.42 suck no matter what you are driving. if you tow at all the 3.42 are going to suck compared to the 4.10 you have.
if you are just doing it for gas mileage you would have to own the truck for many many years to break even.

to have someone do a front and rear gear swap. $1500 min. ive looked into it to go from my factory 3.42 to 3.73. gears.

410 gears run your revs at @2900RPM at 65MPH, hope you're not towing anything on the highway. Anybody done the 410 to 342 change? How did you adjust the CPU, or did it compensate for itself eventually?

looks like on my vortecMax 6.0 with 4.10, 60 mph is @ 2000rpms. havent paid to much attention will look tomorrow.
