Differential Fluid Change on 2007 Silverado
I want to change my fluid in my front and read differential on my 2007 silverado. I'm wondering if I need to go with the Chevy brand (Delco $35.08 per qt) or if I can go with Mobil 1 ($15.00 per qt). Says in the front I need 80W90 and in the rear I need 75w90. I believe I just fill up the filler hole until oil starts to come out. Thanks for the insight.
yes, you can you a quality replacement such as Mobil if you choose providing the weights are specific and correct. And yes, once you have the diff covers back on and torqued correctly just fill until it starts to drip out the hole. There are a few vids on Youtube of the way guys have filled because the holes are awkward to get to
