Exclamation Digital odometer

I have a 99 Silverado <O</O
Why won’t the digital odometer display work??
last time I saw the numbers they seem to be tracking, it just does not light up.<O</O

ah good point!
last time I saw the numbers it seem to be tracking, so I would say it just does not light up.

They do go bad but if you change vs get it fix your truck title will say exemption on miles if you can get one from a junk yard go for it I need one and can't buy in my state (guess its like 60s when people rolled back od )

mine does the same thing.wont work UNLESS you press the heck outta the trip button.shift indicator does not lite up and the fuel gauge has a mind of it own also.any help.durn near ran outta fuel yesterday

Check the interior lights dimmer control, next to the headlight switch, and make sure it isn't turned down all the way. Is the radio display off also?

Start with the simple stuff.

Made sure and dash and radio lights respond with the dimer but no joy on the digital display. Thanks, may look deeper into fuses?? but at one time it was intermittent. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Tried the trip button no luck. gas gage dose have a mind of its own. replaced the fuel pump assemble in tank and fixed for a while now back to its old antics. I did run out of gas last week felt like a dumb @#$$%^^ on the way to work and Boss drives right by called and hay boss how about a ride that was good for laugh at work.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

well the ole tried and tru method worked.I wacked it 1 good time on the dash and the d/// thing started working.gas gauge still a mystery
