Default Does the VIN number on a 2008 Silverado 2500 HD tell me what rear end is in it?

And if not what code would I look for? (The glove box sticker I've seen in my other car?)

Thanks,

Gary

Look in the glovebox and you'll see the codes there. The G code is what tells what it is from the factory. You can find what all of them mean here. RPO Codes.com- GM option codes,GM rpo codes,Regular Production Options,General Motors options

As a suggestion, take your vin to the parts dept and ask them if they would do a build sheet for you. Mine did it, no charge, no hassel.
