Don't know what my truck specifics are.
I just bought a used 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I would like to know all the specifics of the truck. Can I find out what size engine, HD, etc. etc. by the vin number? Thanks

Vehicle specifics can be found in the glovebox door, there's a bunch of codes on a sticky on the backside of the door. Gives you the options your truck came with. Engine and HD can be visual. Under the hood you can see on the sticker on the plastic shield above the grille if it says 6.0, 5.3, 4.8. 6.0 will be an HD model where as 5.3 and 4.8 is normal 1500 model.
