His may sound stupid, but is there. a way I can chane the bolt pattern on my truck to match that of the later chevy trucks?

 

Hmmm. That's a hard question for me to answer. I've never thought of changing the bolt pattern. Of course, anything is possible. I haven't had the front tire off my truck. On the blazer I used to own the rotors had the studs in them so if your truck is the same, I would expect you to be able to get rotors that had a different bolt pattern. As long as the rotor is the same size, it would be possible, I guess. As far as the rear, I have never worked on any part of the rear axle/brakes of a vehicle so I don't even know about that.

 

I'm not sure if you have the same spindles as the 6-lug models, but if you do, you can swap out the hub assembly.

The rear axle groove pattern is probably the same as well, so you could just change out that assembly.

Confirmation on this theory will be vital.

 

Don't fart around, if you're going to make this articulated of a change, go for 4-wheel disc brakes at the same time. What an upgrade! I love mine.

Sounds like you'd better start haunting the recycler yards for a new rear end(if you find a fresh Z71, it's a POSI and Rear-disc brakes) and fresh front spindles,bearings, rotors, and calipers, as well as(of course) the new style wheels. Good luck.

I never thought about just changing out the rear end, but that seems kinda labor intensive. I figure if I plant 15 charges... (If anyone watches red green they'll get it)

Here's a thought... Will the wheels off of an 08 Impala fit?? The bolt pattern looks quite similar and I think those wheels would look pretty decent

 

Your bolt pattern is 5x127mm (5x5")
The Impala bolt pattern is 5x115.

I was wrong about what I told you about the S10 wheels fitting... its 5x4.75"

 

I'm pretty sure Red Green drives Fords, the poor bas#$%^&.
