that would require alot suspension mods though wouldnt it? it just a lil swb half ton i do like those BAMF deisels tho

 

if you want the mpgs, throw in a 6.6 with the allison. diesels get better mpgs than gas motors, i've heard.

 

yea maybe lol. get a 3/4 front suspension or sumthing sometime this year they are making a 4.7 or a 4.5 diesel for a 1/2 ton.

 

why on earth would gm make a half ton diesel lol. they should have just continued to make the 1500hd but stopped in 03 i believe.

yeah these are all cool ideas... i got to start doin a list of stuff i would have to upgrade with the motor and tranny as well.... i know the suspension and rear end is gonna have to get upgraded... as well as the clutch.... would i need to do the brakes as well ? or could that wait...

 

Brakes could wait IMO. Just keep 'em in good shape and upgrade when you get the chance later. Unless your getting big rims or tires, if so upgrade when those go on.

 

i read an article last night the big 3 are making half ton diesels. chevy 4.7. ford 4.4 and dodge 5.0. excuse my ignorance on the 1500hds. still should make them. i think they'd sell pretty good. probably 4.10 gears in the back.

 

I wanted that 1500 diesel so bad when I traded in my Ford, but I had to get away from the Oval, I hated that truck with a passion.

 

the only ford i omned i had to get because of a bad situation and i prayed evry day to get in a wreck to get out from under it.... then my prayer was anwered... i was sandwiched between two silverado 2500's lol... that lil escape never had a chance... but i would still be in my s-10 had a dumb bitch in an excursion not pulled out in front of me
