Default DRL disable for HID??

I have a 2006 silverado and was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the drl. I have installed HID lights and have been blowing bulbs, the manufacture tells me I need to disable the lights even though they are seperate from the headlights.

I know about the relay, but not sure if that will be enough.

Anyone else experienced something similar or know haow to disable the lights from the BCM??

Thanks

your HID are still only on or off it shouldnt make a difference

OK thanks, thats what i though as well. Must be a different reason for the bulb failure. Maybe the bulbs I get from the supplier are faulty. I got the system and replacement bulbs from XenonPros.

mine are from HID extreme and have worked fine.
they must be crazy saying the DTL have anything to do with considering its a completely different circuit and bulb., thats just funny. i could see if it were like the older grand ams and S-10s where it was your same light coming on dim for DTL.
