Default Duramax Diesel Fuel Problems

I have a 2002 Chevy 3500 Dullie 4x4 with 210,000 miles. For the past couple months, I have had to prime the fuel filter once about every two weeks in the morning before I start the day. If I didn't do this, the truck will start and run for about 30 seconds and die. Now it is a daily occurance. After I prime the filter housing, the truck is good to go for the rest of the day. Another problem I have is the air filter is literaly getting sucked in the intake. Can anyone out there give me some clues on to what I need to fix these things?

replace the air filter it is so clogged it is literally sucking the filter in to the intake..........that is bad....could be your idling issues as well..... replace the fuel filter its prolly clogged as well and you priming it is its way of getting enough pressure in the line to get it to fire and run
