Hi my check engine light came on the other day and I had a whole bunch of codes come on. Excessive dump time, all o2 sensors were reading in not efficient (makes sense with excessive dump time), both wheel speed sensors missing, and a few other brake code. It seems weird to me though that I have excessive dump time on an injector on each side of the motor both starting at the same time. The truck is also missing you can feel it but it is not throwing a code for it. It has 290000 and I've put a lot of work into it lately.

 

post the codes, year and engine size. Hard to make reference to anything without knowing what fuel injection system is in place.


by dump time; do you mean injector pulse rate?

when an oxygen sensor is reading "in not efficient" this means what?

 

I forget the exact codes got them checked at advanced auto parts. It is a 2001 silverado with the 5.3 liter and that's exactly what it said was excessive dump time and it had o2 sensor codes and said running inefficiently.

 

And I'm not to sure what excessive dump time is just know it has something to do with injectors being open to long. have not messed with fuel injection much but trying to learn it.

 

without codes and not being there...can't help

 

never heard of a dump time code and ebcm/abs codes wont turn on a check engine light, multiple issues possibly.
