electric fans
Hi all,
I am looking at installing a electric fan in my 2002 chevy silverado 2500hd, I have been looking for awhile but I am unsure as to which one to go with does anyone have any recommendations? I have been looking at the single fan flex-a-lite cyclone version with the variable temp control module. I am looking to lower my temp while pulling my trailer but also get some better fuel mileage both when pulling and not pulling. any advice would be great thanks in advance

I did the swap with fans from a 2005 Silverado 1500 and bought a relay set up from a wrecking yard back east that makes custom wiring relay looms. Also had the computer updated to run like a 2005 Silverado, also had to use larger radiator that and fans mounted on radiator frame. I have a 2001 1500 5.3l 4x4 lifted, The only problem I see using the stock fans on your truck would be the location of the computer as it mounts on the radiator frame. Also have a2001 2500hd w 8,1 Allison 4x4 but have not done the swap because I want it to look stock. All you need is the fan setup which you can buy for around $175 on E-bay and the relay wiring loom around $200 along with computer update. Your radiator is already the larger so again only problem is the computer
