hey. i have a 1988 silverado that has a lot of electrical issues. I am looking for any tips on where to start. The truck has an aftermarket headunit with amp and speakers. It also has aftermarket taillights but the reverse lights dont come on. The headlights have some sort of blue bulbs (not HID) and possibly aftermarket headlight assemblies. Whenyou turn the headlights on with the key turned to the on position the high beams come on. they come on normal with no key in. A few of the small gauges dont work like the gas gauge. The dash lights dont work either. Im not familiar with chevy trucks in this spectrum. Looking for anybodies 2 cents. thanks guys

 

I have a 1988 K1500 Pick up and when I push in the cigarette lighter my dash lights and my tail lights go out, it blows the fuse. yet I can charge my phone without a problem. I would check all your fuses before I did anything else
