emergence brake light
hey i have a 2001 silverado and for some reason when i got back from a trip to nevada my e-brake light was on yet the e-brake is not engaged, anyone have any idea on how i could fix it, please

There is a spring that holds the E brake in place, and if the spring isnt as strong the pedal couldnt be properly resting on the sensor causing the computer to think that your E brake is set.
