Engine shuts off when driving

My 2003 Silverado 1500 Z71 5.3L 4WD, Ext cab frequently shuts down !!! The warning signal beeps 4 times (without any visual indication of what the problem is), the door locks cycle on and off and the engine quits !!! First time it happened I was on an Interstate at 75mph and after restarting (by shifting to neutral and turning key) also had to stop to change pants !! (driving a non responsive 2 1/2 ton brick at high speed is not cool !!)
Took it to a dealer and they ran diagnostics to no avail. I never know when or why it shuts down... Does not seem to matter at what ever speed. I feel it must certainly be an electrical problem somewhere but do not know where to start !!! It could be coming from the driver's door electrical connections ???? as quite often, my seat heater comes on at max temp (3 lights). Never know when that is going to occur also. I posted this previously but no responses !! still need help....

2009 Silverado LTZ 4x4 6.2 engine shuts down while driving

I am having the exact same issue with my 2009, while driving down the road the locks start locking and unlocking, traction control light flashing, seat belt light flashing. I just bought it Saturday 10/22/2011

The body control module does the locks security ect. Do you get a security light? Those things are fairly cheap, I'd suggest replace it.

OK, After being screwed up for several years spent $700.00 at with a knowledgeable tech at a dealer who discovered that an add on device (in this case an unused MP3 plug in) was connected to the start engine harness and the device had a failing diode or chip causing the device to cycle on and off.... That WAS the problem....

Welcome to the forum. I do apologize for your frustrations. Have you spoke with the dealership yet? The vehicle should still be under a warranty.

2014 Chevy Silverado Shutting Down While Driving

My 2014 Chevy Silverado has shut down twice while driving in the last two months. I have been driving at about 20 MPH and the truck just stopped with no warning lights and no sound. I simply did not have any power. The first time I coasted into a parking lot and tried to start the truck. Nothing happened. I waited a few seconds and the truck started. Second time the same thing. It just shut off going down the road. No warning lights, no sound, truck was in drive. I turned the key and it started right up. I took it to my Chevy dealer and they ran some tests on it and couldn't find anything. They said, "There's so many modules on the truck it could be a one of a million things. I wouldn't know where to start looking for the problem." Very disappointed. I am going back to the dealership tomorrow. If they can't find the problem I am contacting a lawyer.

Almost sounds like a ground issue. Check all the grounds for a good connection and no corrosion. While this is something more seen on older trucks, and I doubt something so new would have this issue, it would still be worth checking.
