I have a 1985 chevy pickup with a tired 305. I am wanting to replace it with a 350. I have heard good and bad about the Target motor. Is this the same as the Goodwrench motor? Not going to races just want a good solid engine for everyday driver. Are there any good sources out there with a solid reputation that I can buy a new engine? I am located in Phoenix area.

Wow, thread read 50 times and nobody can respond with an engine suggestion? Seems like reputation of various engines and companies would get around fairly quickly on a forum like this.

Thanks TSDUKE. I have been thinking about Jasper as well. I have never heard any negative about them. I found that it would cost less for a 350 then a 305.

My brother put a Jasper 350 in his 83. Been pretty happy with it.
