Default engine swap

I have a 95 with a 5.7 auto. I am buying a crate motor for it. Before I do, what are my other options as far as motors? If was was to buy a low mile 5.3 what all is involved in the swap?
Thanks for you help chevy heads!

All and all is would just be MUCH better to stick with the 5.7. It would be a direct drop in you would not have to chang anything but the engine
