Default Exhaust

The pickup I will be buying tomorrow has the exhaust hacked at about the cab, so my first plans are to get some exhaust on it. I'm looking to do headers and the whole she-bang.
What are some good headers for a 350 for around $200? Not looking for anything flashy. Just a base that I can build an exhaust system around.
I see that Summit sells header back exhaust systems for around $125. So I would buy that and probably pair some Super 40 Series under there.
TIA,
Sawyer

Bump. Anyone?
I hopped under the truck and there's a glass pack under there. So I don't need exhaust right away. But any input would be awesome.

Hey, Motox 010, Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

A thread search will give you a lot of user's experiences.

Also a list of websites which vends all this stuff cheap.

summit brand is in-expensive yes, but not as reliable. remember, you get what you pay for. so it cant hurt paying a little bit extra for some hooker headers or something. as for pipes, it all depends how you want to do it. cut-offs save money. i cut my exahust 6 inches out from the muffler. still sounds really nice. i payed about 320 for a super 40 series, 6 inch cut-offs, about a foot and a half of 3" from my cat to my muffler, and labor. although, i am going to be extending mine a little bit.
