96 chevy pickup 1500. OK first sympton normal as hell. rear blinker went out fast blinking inside. easy fix right . NO tried new bulb nope. tried new Bulb housing. Nope. tried taking other side harness and pluging into bad side. works fine. tried taking the new bulb i bought and pluging it intio good sides blinker slot. new bulb checked ok. SO it has to be the new bulb fixture i bought right? meter shows power in new housing. also tried the hazards everything blinks except the new bulb in the new housing. i also checked to make sure the little metal on the bulb and housing where bent out enough to make contact... WTF plz help me o chevy gods

different bulbs have different current ratings. the wrong bulb even though it looks the same can cause problems. I had this problem on a Dodge minivan. The bulbs I had were 3147 and the taillights needed 3047. The 3147 had higher Amperage than the 3047s.
