Default Fuel Filter Replacement

This is my first vehicle with a threaded fuel filter, and was just wondering if you guys and gals put anything on the threads before installing the filter. I was told that Teflon tape is a no no...is there anything else to put on to ensure a tight seal?

Nope. just make sure you have tightened each side pretty good and that is all you need.

Teflon tape will break down if used with gasoline. When used in fuel lines it can and will clog your filter and injectors.

never put anything on the connections for the fuel system. As stated above it may get into the fuel system and cause you problems.
