I have a 99 silverado and replaced the fuel pump a year ago. I drove it home and parked it the other night, and the next morning, it turns over and almost firs like the pump went bad again. I pulled the filter comepletely off and turned the key... the pump is working and when I fill the intake with fuel it runs until it burns up.. I have trouble shot a bunch of lil stuff. and still no dice... any ideas???

 

in line fuel filter clogged? what pressure are you getting at the schraeder valve?

 

I changed the filter.. It was very stopped up but stilll flowing. I dont know the pressure yet at the valve.. I know its getting pressure just dont know how much.. That would involved taking it somewhere and having it checked. I know its about to come to that. I just wanted to eliminate anything stupid that it could be first to save a little money.
