Default Fuel Tank Capacities 2007 Silverado

I thought my Fuel Tanks Capacity was 26 gallon? On 2007 Silverado V8 5.3L but I was at almost empty today, stop for gas and the put in only 16.78 gallons before the pump did it's auto stop.???

Plus the fuel gauge stopped at half way between 3/4 and full?

Ok, thanks I'll check this out a little closer.

But the V8 5.3L 2007 Silverado LT does have a 26 gallon tank correct?

The 2007 Silverado did have a 26 gallon fuel tank but also had a 34 gallon tank as well. The size of the tank depends on the length of the truck bed. If you have a standard or short bed then you have the 26 gallon tank of you have a long bed then you have the 34 gallon tank. I hope that helps you.
