Default Gas Tank Size - Silverado vs Sierra

I just did an internet search and half the sites say the 2010 Sierra 1500 has a larger tank (34 gal) compared to the 2010 Silverado 1500 (26 gal). Can anyone confirm the size of the two tanks.

I don't know about the "newer" trucks, but I know that my 2004 Silverado extended cab 2wd has a smaller fuel tank (~25 gallons or so) than a regular cab with the long bed (~34 gallons).

25 gallons is plenty, though, as it often costs me upwards of sixty bucks to fill it.

It appears as though $3 per gallon is right around the corner - and diesel fuel has already hit that barrier in many places.

For the 2010 model year the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 both have the same size gas tanks. The only things that make a difference in the sizes are the bed lengths. The Standard and Short beds have a 26 gallon gas tank and the Long beds have a 34 gallon tank. I hope that answers your question.
