Default Gauge cluster gone crazy!

I've got a 04 1500 4x4 Silverado with the 5.2. One day I'm driving down the road and the speedo says I'm doing 120mph. The speedo would never go completly down to 0mph after that. Ocassionaly the amp gauge, oil pressure gauge and temp gauge would malfunction and now the tach. I was told there was a recall on the gauge cluster and can't locate any information on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....

There is a recall on certian trucks for this but not all, contact a dealer to find out if yours is covered and have your vin# handy. If it is not coveredand you do not have alot of miles or have good service history with the dealer goodwill replacement can be made.

Thanks guys. Found out the deal today. After about 15 min on the phone was told there is no recall on this truck for that. It falls under the GM 7year 70,000 mile warranty. I take the truck in and for $125. the diagnose it, if it is in fact that problem they don't charge you the money and they order you the parts and in about a week, or whatever they fix it. Sounds pretty simple, we'll see.

Just in case anybody is interested I took the truck to John L Sullivan today and had the truck diagonsed. Owe nothing and the new part will be here in a week. Good thing I checked, my truck has 68,500 miles, a little close. John L Sullivan, a class outfit.

Default Gauges gone crazy

I fixed my own and have fixed the gauges of Chevy trucks of several friends. Watch my video for how I did it.
