Question gauges!!????

New to this site. I have an 03 Silverado, lately my instrument gauges have a mind of their own. The tach runs backwards and the oil gauge runs over 80. I have replaced the oil sending unit and everything worked great for a while. The tach started messing up again and today, the oil pressure was over 80 again. All the other gauges work fine. Whats up with this truck? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Colston,

welcome to the forum, a recall was made for those clusters from 03-07 i believe. i have an 04 and mine has been acting up for a while i just havent had the time to worry to much about it. lol if you really find it to bother you much go to your local dealer see if they would mind replacing it for you or you could always ebay it. I'm personally thinking of ordering one on ebay as you could get an SS one for about 250 i would say. let me know if you have any further questions regarding this.

There are milage and time restrictions on the recall. Most of the time this happens after the truck has passed these restrictions. My 2005 had over 100k when mine whent wacky and GM will not do a thing about it even though it is due to faulty parts they put in. You should have ALL of the motors replaced. Otherwise you will be doing this again...and again....and again.
