GMC Sierra Question
Hello All,
Sorry, I know this is a Chevy forum but I hope someone can answer a few questions for me. I am looking at buying a 2008 Sierra Denali and trading my 06 Dodge Ram. I love the looks of that truck and like that it has the 6.2L. As much as I love our 2007 Suburban the 5.3 sometimes feels like it can't get out of it'sown way so I want the bigger motor. As far as I can tell 2007, 08, 09, 10 Sierra Denali's are indentical. Is that the case or is there something I should look out for on go after on a different model year. I am not buying new simply because I dont want the $55K price tag. Thanks for any input!

The most recent change for the Sierra Denali is for the 2011 model year where the Denali is available in 1500, 2500 and 3500. Overall most of the options and things should either be the same or similar for these model years. I hope that helps you.

Hi kfp673,
Welcome to the Chevy Forums.
What you are probably looking for is 410 gears. You lose a little off the top end, on the Interstate the engine really howls, but from a stop and at lower speeds you really move.
Look for RPO codes GT5 and GT8 for 410 gears.
Your Dodge probably had the much sought after 321 or 323 gears. People hauling long distances love the gas mileage, but you don't get rabbit take-offs.
