Half Volume from Stock Radio
2005 Silverado, 6 disk cd/radio. The volume will not respond until it indicates that the volume is almost half way up. We had a front door speaker out so we changed it and the volume still will not come up. Is there any way to check or adjust the volume on the radio. It does not appear to be a Bose unit. Thanks for anay suggestions.
The factory CD player in my '04 wore out twice in 3.5 years.
I've since replaced it with an aftermarket brand I trust in the fervent hope this unit will last for awhile.
There's some additional cost involved-: dataport adapter(for ANY brand aftermarket head unit)....100$
GM antenna adapter........................................... .........20$
dashboard adapter (Metra is a popular brand)...................30$
PLUS the cost of the new head unit,
PLUS installation if you don't DIY
I guess a lot hinges on just how much SQ and overall dependability you want. If you don't listen to your audio system much, it just doesn't mean anything to you.
