2006 chevy silverado 1500 - drive by wire accelerator pedal
I have extreme difficulting operating the foot pedals after a major back injury. I was looking for info on a replacement gas pedal that is closer to the front of the vehicle or maybe a quality hand throttle and brake. It would be best for me to get rid of the foot pedals completely but that sounds really expensive and probably beyond my current capabilities. I have ridden dirt bikes for many years, I am thinking of running a motorcycle throttle assembly under the floor mat and secure behind the gas pedal? I'm sure somebody somewhere has tried this, what options does chevrolet forum suggest?
