Default Hard start and sometimes wont start??

Hows it goin fellas. I have a 96 1500 with a 5.7 Vortec. For about the past week the truck has been acting up. It starts hard, sometimes wont start, and after driving it for a few miles it will die and takes a min to start back up. Also sometimes just driving down the road the idle would randomly jump up to about 2000RPMs and go back down and then when I come to a stop it would sometimes jump up to 1500RPMs.

All this happens randomly. I repalced the TPS and the IAC and the idle problem seems to be fixed. But the other problems are still occuring. Im think the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump what do you guys think. If the FPR is bad will that make the truck die? I know it will make it start hard.

Let's level the playing field here a little. Are the air and gas filters clean?
