I got out of my 02 2500hd today, and realized the headlights were still on. So I checked, and sure enough, the headlight reminder noisemaker thingy isn't working. I'm not entirely sure it's worked since i've had the truck. i've had it since feb 08 about 2k mi... and honestly don't manually turn on the headlights that often. the key warning thingy that the keys are in the ignition with the door open still works, but the one to say that the headlights are on and the key is not in run doesn't work. whether the headlights are on, or just the parking lights, whether the ignition is in off, lock, or acc, nothing. I can not find a fuse specific to that warning beeper... or one that's blown. I figure that in the pastsix years, somebody out there has had this issue before and can tell me what's going on. I just hope they are on this forum. I haven't done too much in depth troubleshooting yet, but was hoping to avoid that step... I know so far that the headlight switch works, the door open sensor works, the key in igntion beeper works, the inst panel dimmer switch is not all the way on low, and the owner's manual is no help. i have a feeling that the service manual won't be either.
