does anyone know how i can permanently disable my auto function on my headlight switch on my truck so my ballasts dont short out? and so i can have manual control over my headlights with my switch. 04 silverado 5.3

 

i don't know much of a difference between the 01 to 04 except minor details inside and outside but where your light switch is there should be a button directly to the left of it and mine you can push it four times and your lights will shut off so you can manually turn them on
