Default Heater coil

Can some tell me what is involved in changing out heater coil for 2001 silverado 1500 4.3 liter reg cab.Pretty sure i have to pull dash but will i have to take steering wheel off.All the information i can get will be truly appreciated. Thanks

Nop. To replace the HEATER CORE you dont have to take the steering wheel off BUT you do have to disconnect the battery to not set the Airbags off. I havent seen this setup but I think you ll have to drop the steering column to shimmy the dash up from the windshield and then pull the heater core assembly out through the glove box.

Be prepared to spend all weekend doing it if you have never done it before anywhere on any car.
