help! 1998 Z71 random stall and restart while driving
Today i was driving my 1998 Z71 down the freeway when it stalled. I lost all power: my cd player, headlights, dashlights, ect all turned off for about 4 seconds, then turned back on. I wasn't able to tell if the starter turned over or not. I didn't touch the key, it literally restarted on its own. It's an automatic and I have no knowledge of command start ever being in it. Im from canada and it was about -25 C or -13 F. It stalled on me last week but I figured it was just a fuel problem and dumped some gasline antifreeze in it. Also, it didn't start up on itself that time.
Any ideas would be very helpful!

Check your battery conections my 98 did the same thing it would shut down then start back up like nothing happened and couldnt figure it out. Mine was the conections so I cleaned them and baught new side bolts for it cuz one was stripped out and after that it was all good never happened again.

As long as I was driving no, I think the momentom just turned it back over. My 91 regal and 96 bonni I can shut it off while cruzin and just put the key back in the run position and it turns back on so. but yea just check the conections and go from there.
