Hey Guys Im new here but I have this problem. I have a 94 suburban w a 5.7. About a week ago is when it all started. I was driving and it started to cut off while I was driving but it cut right back on and it keep doing this for a coulpe of days. Then it started to get wrose and now the battery light is flashing on and off as this is happing as well. Right now its sitting in the shop but we all know how that is they will always try to screw a woman thinking she doesn't know anything whats so ever. I need help before I spend alot of cash when I dont need to...

 

could be alternater or u may need a new battery

 

Werd... I'd say battery, but could be either or... Let us know what it was.

 

most likely the alternator is bad.

 

The main electrical supply wire runs from the battery across the top of the fan shroud and into the fuse relay center. If it loses it's connection, the entire vehicle will shut down. Check for a short or a loose connection on either end of that wire.
