i just purchased a 2011 2500HD 6.0L 6spd tranny. this truck has the standard motor does not cut 4 cylinders and does not run e85. my dealer told me that none of the 2500 cut cylinders but i am reading here that there are some. my question is - who knows about the different PCM that they put in some of the 2500's, it is indicated by a G in the 8th place in the vin. I wanted to get a programmer but no one supports this pcm. any help would be appreciated

 

While I can't answer the question about cutting back to 4 cylinders, I can tell you that I've had my 2011 2500HD reprogrammed by Justin at blackbearperformance.com. I think my 6.0 was the first he did using the new PCM and tranny combination.
