Default Help!!!

Hi there, I am a new user to the forum. I own a 1993 Chevy K1500 Fleetside 4WD pickup with the 5.7L V8. Everytime I try to drive the truck, the engine starts, runs rough and when I put it into gear to drive it stalls out. I have put on a new starter, distributor cap & rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, alternator, battery, fuel pump & fuel filter. I am still having the same problem. I have plenty of fuel pressure to the throttle body. I am starting to think it may be the fuel injectors on the throttle body, but I am really stumped on this. Can someone please help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Sounds like you may need to replace your IAC. It is usually the cause of a rough idle.

I have recently rebuilt the throttle body and it starts fine, idles fine and last night it back fired through the throttle body and sent a cloud of black smoke up. I'm thinking the timing is off. Used a code reader and no error codes came up. I'm really stumped!

Checked the timing and it is fine. Replaced the ignition coil, but now the truck won't even start. It stalled out when I put it in gear the other day(before changing the ignition coil) and since then it won't start. I now get the check engine light. Tried using starter fluid and still won't start. HELP!!!!

Since it is obd1 you'll you'll need to jumper A-B on the diagnostic port to get the code number. How many miles? It sounds like timing chain

The truck has 164000 miles. Tried the diagnostic and nothing comes up, it just keeps blinking the 12 code and nothing else. Checked the spark plugs and the engine was flooded, I pushed the accelerator down and then tried the ignition to unflood the engine. Got the excess fuel out but still wont turn over.
