Default help with coil wire issue

i have to keep replacing coil wire on my 1997 1500 v6 ...replaced coil and all wires twice in the last 2 years..missfire again due to bad wires..and i dont buy the cheap ones...any idea what the problem is?..is it as simple as a bad wire?

It could be the routing of the wires. Make sure they are not touching the manifolds etc. and are properly separated. Do you have anything aftermarket like headers, ignition components, chips, etc.

You should try using genuine GM parts and see if that helps. Sucks you have to wait a year to find out though.

I'm not to high on NAPA quality lately. They don't seem to be at the top as in years previous.

If GM parts are not to your liking you should go with Accel, MSD, Mallory. I like Taylor plug wires.

I have never been a big fan of NAPA ign parts. Go with GM.

Agree go with the AC Delco parts and pick up a couple of wire seperators to add the ones already being used....
