Default Help with EGR on a 92 pickup

Hello, I have a 92 chevy with a 5.7. My truck stumbles and misses and wants to cut off just a little above idle. It also does it when im driving and let off the gas. Ive replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, ignition module. It starts and idles fine. If i throw the gas to the floor it does fine. It only does it just above idle. Not getting any check engine light. I unplugged the EGR purge solenoid and the truck runs great. So i replaced it. Still the same, so i replaced the EGR itself. Still the same. It runs great when i unplug it.... Any ideas? Would it hurt to just leave it unplugged? Thanks Donnie

Donnie-did you replace the gasket with a screened gasket to keep the carbon out of the EGR??.Most of the time you don't need to replace the EGR.....just take a pick and clean it replacing the gasket with a screened one.

So i unhooked the EGR vacuum hose and took the truck on a road trip. I drove over 600 miles with no problems at all except for the check engine light being on. Other than that, it ran great like it allways has. When i hook the line back up it runs like crap again... I dunno anymore...should i just leave it unhooked and deal with the check engine light on??? Anyone have anymore ideas? I also tried changing out the ECM and still no change.
