Help me decided
I am thinking about buying a 2006 chevy Silverado 4x4 1500 crew cab. The bed is short. Took it in the shop said the truck had no problems. The mileage is 113000. Dude wants 13500 for it. Is that to much. Comes with a tool box.

KBB says private party is 12.5 - $15k Kelley Blue Book
That being said, often they are a bit high. But NADA usually lists their prices higher yet. And extras usually do not show up NADA or KBB, like extra chrome, security systems and other features that this truck may have which adds value.
Then there is local market conditions which effect price too.
For example KBB fair market price was $4500 for a truck I just bought, I paid $2400
An option is to look at Craigs List in your area and see what similar featured and aged vehicles the sellers are asking for them. Remember that asking price is not selling price.
And then there is the art of haggling on price. Some will inflate their asking price by 20%, others, that is the price and are insulted if you offer 10% less.
