Help. Need to buy a Silverado door spare part but donīt know its name.
Hello guys.
Door latch striker I guess... But I canīt find it in Amazon which is the only way i can buy it (and delivered) from Uruguay. Rockauto cant find it neither.
Actually the parts are well but the rubber are gone and every time I close the doors sounds really bad.
Silverado WT, 4.8 L, 2010, Crew Cabin.
Thanks a lot for your assistance.

I think that would be called a DOOR LOCK STRIKER. The problem is, the parts I find, and the parts on my 2006 Silverado, have no rubber on them. As you can see, they changed the striker slightly between 2006 and 2010, but the front part that the door engages with is the same. Basically a cylindrical striker. The metal of the lock mechanism in the door is kind of a sideways "U" shape when open that engages with the cylindrical metal striker, and rotates into the locked position (upright "U" with the striker in the middle) as the door closes and latches. If it's noisy, the noise is likely in the moving part in the door, and nothing to do with the striker.
Here is what my 2006 strikers look like, and this is from the much less frequently used passenger (left/front) door. No rubber anywhere, so I don't think you've got anything worn away. I suggest lubricating the latch with some spray oil like WD40, and working it a few times.
