Hi, i have a 2004 2500dh 6.6l the power steering and brakes do not work at all. i have replaced the power steering pump and the hydroboost. Still no improvements. System has been bled to spec. I removed the pressure line going into the hydroboost from the PS pump and started the truck. Fluid barley pumped out and it was filthy. must be pulling fluid from the gear box. Could the gear box be faulty? Is the pump working properly? Could there be a blockage somewhere? Any Ideas?

 

sounds like a clogged line or bad pump.

 

Werd... New doesn't mean good.

 

check the lines if any of them have colapsed inside,does the pump make a whining sound if it does the pump is cavatating pumping air/oil due to a restriction, you could also have someone start it while you watch the lines and look for a line that jolts when it first start a kinda follow it from there
