Default HELP!! OEM NAV ISSUES on 2007 w/ 2009 HU

Hi All,

Hopefully someone can shed some light on things before I start pulling wires (and my hair) out. Here's the deal. I bought a OEM NAV Part #25894202 to install into my 2007 Silverado LTZ Crew. The LTZ has the rear entertainment system and bose and all that. So I plucked out the CD/DVD HU and installed the 2009 NAV UNIT. Most everthing is OK, Nav works great, Onstar and XM work fine.

But here is my problem: The RSE display just "lights up" meaning-- I just get backlight and an otherwise blank black screen. The remote and IR stuff doesn't work either. Also I have no door chime, turn signal tick or parking sensor audible alert.

Now, I did install a GMUNLOCK Pro along with the NAV unit and I mitcululsly cable tied everthing up nice and neat so I hate to tear it all out and start over, but I guess the issue could be the GMUNLOCK...

I DID reprogram the BCM to the latest cals for a 2007... I also programmed the RADIO as a 2007. UVB w/ YTZ/U91

Any Ideas? Could there be an incompatibility with the 2009 NAV unit and the 2007 ECU? Or is this more likely an wiring issue?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...

Did you program it yourself? or did you have a tech do it? sound like it could have been programmed wrong....
But I would start at the unlock thing you put into it. Take it out and see if it fixes it

Question

I programmed it myself. I actually did a ground up program on the BCM, SDM, Door switches and radio.

However, one thing that perplexes me is there is no module for the RSE.... I guess it just runs off the radio module? The RSE controls show the source and DVD Title and Chapter, but the otherwise nothing works...

I guess I will pull the GMUNLOCK out and attach the radio direct to the vehcile harness and see if that gets me anywhere. Hopefully it is the black box. I e-mailed NAV VIDEO yesterday and they have yet to get back with me... IF killing the NAVUNLOCK that doesn't do it, I am at a loss unless someone has better ideas...
