help plz

hi everyone ,I have a 2005 2500 chevy truck and my check engine light comes on and it says"reduced engine" ,and it does have any power to it...I have to dissconnect the battery so the computer and erase the codes....does anyone one have the same problem? what do i need to do?

Scan the codes, then find out whats wrong.
