We dont drive it much as it is a 2500 and the gas mileage is not too great. But my hubby went to drive it on Sunday and it was dead. Turned the key and nothing,, but all the lights came on. He tried to jump the battery, still nothing. It is a brand new battery.. we just bought it a few months ago because of the same problem. We then started to do some reading on the internet, and we see that our passlock light is lit up, it will not flash at all. we tried the 10 minute key trick,, even left it it last night for over 2 hours..still wont flash so we can start the truck. What do we do to get it started? I am thinking we need to get it towed to the dealer and they will charge us an arm and a leg and we can just cancel our camping trip next week as we wont be able to afford to go.. Is there anything we can do ourselves? my hubby is very good with tools,, I am trying to help him come up with something to take care of this problem. thanks in advance..
Just to give more info,, it is a 2003 chevy silverado,, about 85000 miles. It will not crank at all,, nothing, not even a click,, maybe we are not looking in the right direction,, we are thinking passlock, but maybe something else? we had a locksmith try a new ignition switch, still nothing.. please help, anyone local that would like to look at it? we live near oxford Pa...

When you turn the key, can you hear the fuel pump kick on? If not, perhaps a bad fuel pump.
Have you checked your fuses? If certain ones are blown than you will not be able to turn-over the motor.
Just my .02

so it doesn't even turn over...
I am not familiar with the electrical system f the newer models,
but maybe give the starter and fuses a good inpection.
My guess is that the problem may be with the starter or in the fuse box.
