Default Steering Wheel Lights Keep Going Out!?!?!?!?

I've got a 2005 Silverado - Z71. I bought it brand new and have had to replace all the buttons on the steering wheel, radio and climate controls twice. The lights just randomly go out. I just had nother 3 steering wheel buttons replaced 2 weeks ago and another one just went out last night... has ANYONE else had the same issues?

I got GM to replace them the first time, but they wouldn't do it again. They said I was the "only" one having these issues. I find that hard to believe as I've got 2 customers and a family member that have also had the same problems.

Just wondering if this is as common as it seems.

Thank you!

they are just bulbs they go out over time yea the crappy part is that the only way to change them is to repalce the whole assembly unless you are good with a soldering iron and your hands im sure you could find the bulbs and change them

Don't believe the dealer. Mine has gone out also. Prior to buying my '06 Chevy I looked at another Chevy Truck that had the same problem, only they were different bulbs. Trying to find out how hard it will be to replace.

I also would like to know more on this, and where to buy the right LEDs and how to pop the control buttons out without damaging them. Mine are all out except for one, and it would be nice to have them working since I do alot of night driving. A YouTube enthusiast could come in handy here too for those who just dont get it without the visual like me :-)

go here, http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...sp=%2F1157.htm

you will need to know the part number for the bulb, or I could figure something out if I had a complete wheel to look at! after all! I am an electronic tech! but LED's are the only way to go, and we can install "colors"
