Default HHHEEELLLLPPPPPP!!!!! please

CALLING ALL GEARHEADS....I got a 97 5.7 vortec, I have two problems, the first, a leaky fuel pressure regulator causing flooding after it sits a few days......second....I have a distributed that has been moved, (you can't time these motors with distributor) causing crossfire. I can usually get it to start, but not this time....I've burnt out two AutoZone starters because of the crossfiring, Is tgere a trick to clearing the motor of fuel so I don't get the crossfire,? I have to get it started to fit the timing issue, but can't get it started cause of the crossfiring. Is there away to disable the computer so it doesn't try to compensate for the misadjusted timing? I'm at a loss,

if the fpr is leaking change it. do an oil change to get the fuel out of the crankcase.

verify the cam timing. put the engine at tdc and verify the rotor tip placement.
